The MANE Event When General Hospital's Steve Burton gets a haircut, it's big news for his fans. "I just got tired of dealing with it," says Burton, who snipped his locks before the holiday break. "I gave Jill Farren Phelps a gift for Christmas and she loved it." Burton shaved his signature mop once for the show many years ago but that's a look he'll never revisit. "It's not good when it's that short. Some people have the hairline for that. I didn't. I looked like Eddie Munster." Burton originally started to grow his hair early last year when he booked a miniseries set in the old West. But with the project now postponed, it was time for a trim. "It took me eight months to grow my hair that long. The movie's now on hold until '09 and I have a year to grow it back. And with the writers strike we might get pushed four more months. That would push my miniseries back until the end of my contract at GH." |
