This week on General Hospital, Jason makes a deadly move against the Russian mobsters who have infiltrated Port Charles.  But when Liz and Sam are caught in the crossfire, things take a shocking twist that no one could have seen coming.

Jason Pushes Sonny Away: 

A friendship comes to an end when Jason cuts all ties with Sonny, which would seem to put the former best buds on opposite sides of the violence sweeping through their town.  That bit of business taken care of, Jason takes a meeting with Spinelli and Cody to discuss strategy.  Jason's plan is a simple one:  Send a message to anyone out there who might be thinking of making a move by killing all of the Russians. 

Things are equally complicated in Jason's personal life, thanks to ex-lover Sam and wannabe girlfriend Liz.  While Jason is telling Liz that he definitely can't be with her, because of the big, fat target painted on his back, Maxie asks Sam if her own feeling for the hunk are resurfacing.  Sam is quick to deny the accusation, even admitting to Maxie that she and Lucky faked their break up, but the brunette beauty's portrayer tells a different story.  "Jason was the first love of her life" says Kelly Monaco (Sam).  "I don't think anyone forgets the good times, so sure, there's something that's going to be brought to the surface."  And fate seems determined to push the former couple together when Sam's latest undercover assignment puts her at the very warehouse where Jason and his men are planning to attack the Russians.  Bullets whiz and buildings explode with Sam and Jason caught in the middle of the action.  "Shots are fired, people are dying," previews Monaco "It's so crazy"

Liz and Sam Leave Town

With the danger obviously escalating, Jason tells Sam and Liz that they need to get out of town until things calm down.  For once, Lucky agrees with Jason.  "Jason and Lucky want to protect Sam as much as they want to protect Elizabeth and the boys," explains Rebecca Herbst.  Knowing the women and children are out of town, Jason tells Spinelli that he can now do whatever it takes to deal with the Russian infestation.  Unfortunately, it seems that Liz and Sam are in more danger than ever, thanks to the fact that several Russians have followed them to the remote cabin in which they are hiding out.  Although Lucky was suppose to travel with the ladies, work called him away.  While gathering firewood, Sam catches sight of a bad guy in the wood and before long, all heck has broken loose.

Jason Is Arrested:

Dashing back into the cabin Sam tells Liz they have got company.  Elizabeth grabs a phone but the lines have been cut.  And their cells don't get any signals out where they are.  So now, she panics. "I'm in control" jokes Monaco in character.  "I came up there with a gun".  As Liz takes the boys into the bedroom, builds them a fort and finds a way to keep them safe and sound, Sam prepares to do battle.

And where is Jason?  Where he spends much of his time...at the police station.  It seems Mac is determined to hold Jason responsible for the warehouse that exploded during his last confrontation with the Russians.  Diane does her best to convince gal pal Alexis to set her client free, but it appears the D.A is fed up with all the violence in Port Charles and is ready to take a stand by punishing Jason to the full extent of the law.  The one thing Alexis doesn't count on is Spinelli, who does everything in his power to get Jason released.  But will he manage to do so before it's too late?

The Final Showdown:

It's three against two as Sam and Liz try to prevent the Russian thugs from gaining entry into the cabin.  "Elizabeth has a gun in her hand and she isn't comfortable with it" previews Monaco, whose alter ego shares a very personal story with Liz that goes a long way toward explaining who Sam is ...and how she became that person.  "Then, we sort of lure one of the guys in"  At that point, things spiral rapidly out of control. 

What comes next is a shocking series of events which will leave two people dead, another missing and have a major impact on several relationships.  In the aftermath, Monaco sans that Jason will become even more driven in his quest for vengeance.  "He's out for blood.  I don't know if Jason will ever be able to forgive himself!"

 When push comes to shove, will Jason regret having cut all ties to Sonny?

"Look Lucky. You're hot.. Jason is hot.  I mean, what's a girl to do?"

"This could change everything between Jason and Liz" admits Herbst.
