Best of Both Worlds

With a baby on the way for he and wife Sheree, Steve Burton is taking the time, while he can for now, to get in a few holes of Golf. "We're thrilled" he said, via his cell phone as he was getting ready to tee off - "we hope it's just the first."

Aside from adoring his beautiful wife, Burton wants to make sure the fans of General Hospital knows how much he appreciates them. "My goal was to never to be, I hate to use the term, A Movie Star. I don't think that has ever been my goal" says the actor grateful that his roots are firmly planted at GH.

"I like it here. I like the people here. I don't see why anyone would want to be a movie star. I just don't. What kind of a life is it? Sure, you have money, but you have no freedom, your personal life is on ACCESS HOLLYWOOD every night. Why would I want that when I can be here?"

"I want to produce and direct and do other things. GH gives me a great platform to do that and I get to act all the time. That's the best part of it all."
